Teaching Tips:
- Beginners – teach single blocks/strikes first from sanchin, then introduce shiko dachi, then add second block/strike. Begin striking sequence moving forward and blocking sequence moving backward.
- Color belts: add open hand blocks or Tensho blocks; increase and stagger pace to challenge coordination; emphasize hip movement and tantien; add breathing focus.
